In 1963 Rodney Fox was mauled by a shark, and since has dedicated his life to researching and preserving sharks. The Shark Experience museum features life-size representations of sharks, fossil teeth, documentaries, shark filming cages and more. Rodney Fox also offers shark viewing expeditions. A gift shop is located within the museum.

The Visitor Centre for Haigh's Chocolates, considered to be among the finest chocolate in the world, is situated just south of Adelaide's city centre. Tours are offered and reservations are mandatory. Several Haigh's Chocolates stores are located throughout the city.

The Mount Lofty Summit is often called the "Window to South Australia." From atop the summit it is possible to see Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Hahndorf, Glenelg and other towns, as well as various sights including Cleland Conservation Park, Piccadilly Valley, the Murray River and much more. There is an information centre at the summit and a restaurant.
